Albion O.T.O.

Albion O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis) is an independent British Thelemic Order whose Headquarters, Abraxas Lodge, are in Central London, England. Members of the Order are initiated into the O.T.O. system of Magick as put forward by Aleister Crowley, the Prophet of THELEMA. The central Holy Book of Thelema is The Book of the Law, which Crowley received from a praeter-human Intelligence called Aiwass. The main tenet of this Book, also known as Liber AL vel Legis, is:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

The aim of such Initiation is to bring the candidate to the understanding of their True Will, their meaning and purpose in life, and to do that and nothing else. The aspirant is brought to this understanding via the degree Initiations themselves, the further magickal training within our Curriculum, and the guidance and assistance of their assigned Instructor. Attainment in the corresponding 'Tasks of the Degrees' eventually leads to the higher degrees of the O.T.O. system, wherein are taught the methods of High Magick.

Albion O.T.O. works under valid O.T.O. Charters, the which authorities from Aleister Crowley (and Theodore Reuss, a founder of O.T.O.) and other previous Heads of the O.T.O., enables Albion O.T.O. to work the complete O.T.O. system. Albion O.T.O. is also the only O.T.O. worldwide to have Charters and authorities in ALL major O.T.O. lineages, and has therefore reunified the O.T.O. system and Magickal Current. (See 'The O.T.O. Family Tree.') This reunification is unprecedented in O.T.O. history, and means the Members of Albion O.T.O. may obtain the full benefits of O.T.O. initiation.

Initiation.

Members Meetings are held for Initiates in Central London on the first Saturday of every month. Aspirants seeking Initiation and Membership in the Order may apply to: secretary@oto.org.uk

Public Meetings are held for aspirants who would like to meet the Order in a more informal setting. These are our monthly Moots, which are also held in a Central London venue on the first Saturday of every month. Those wishing to attend may do so by contacting us at: moot@oto.org.uk

Correspondence Courses.

Albion O.T.O. For aspirants who cannot make it to our Meetings, or would prefer to work alone for the first stages, we have made available an initiatory Correspondence Course which is available worldwide. Whilst this Course has many benefits of the O.T.O. system, it also includes and encourages many other forms of self-development, magickal practices and initiation, and is highly diverse. Correspondence Members, as with Temple Members, are also allocated a personal Instructor for guidance throughout the whole of the Course Work. You can apply for our Course at: otocourse@oto.org.uk

Voudoo. The Order also offers a comprehensive Vouden Course, written by an Adept widely travelled and trained in the many disciplines and traditions of this system of initiation. This Course operates separately from the Order, and is a private Instruction. Details of the Course, its background, and the Work involved may be found under our Vouden Section on this site. Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica.

The Albion O.T.O. also represents the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C., or Gnostic Catholic Church) in the U.K. - www.egc.org.uk - and offers Baptism, Confirmation and Ordination to those who are devoted to this Work. With the Ordinations from Tau Orphèe Luchifero to Tau Amphion, we are the only E.G.C. worldwide to hold these Ordinations from W.B. Crow, who in turn was the only person to receive these from Aleister Crowley. The Church operates separately from the O.T.O., as Crowley envisaged, and there are no fees for our Church activities.
