Albion O.T.O. Manifesto.
(Short Version.)

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Article One

The world having entered the Aeon of Horus (Spring Equinox, 1904 e.v.), the age of the Crowned and Conquering Child, mankind has therefore itself entered into a time of upheaval, War, and conflict (internal and external), until such a time of reconciliation, when the previous Aeons of Osiris (Patriarchy), and Isis (Matriarchy) have been assimilated and transcended - this will lead in its fulfilment to the Aeon of Maat (Justice).

Article Two

There are therefore three main avenues of spiritual development available to humanity at the present time;

a) Horus - initiates of the present Aeon, who will work secretly and alone, and/or within Thelemic Orders to manifest and develop the present Aeon, so that mankind (or the elements thereof that are capable and willing) may develop itself to its utmost. Its tenets are: Do what thou wilt, self-reliance and spiritual independence, and love under will, all actions to be referred to this idea of self-reliance, implying also therefore no intrusion upon others spiritual sovereignty,

b) Osiris - patriarchal religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc) Reliance on an intermediary priest, reliance on external “authority”, belief in “one true God” and condemnation of the others “god(s)“, and therefore giving up or “sacrificing” ones own spiritual sovereignty and free Will for a spiritual “promise” or covenant, and

c) Isis - matriarchal ideas, Goddess or Nature worship (tribal cultures, primitive paganism, and “folk religions”). Reliance on the Mother/Nature for all things - man as the “helpless child” - therefore also ideas of “fatalism” and “sacrificial offerings” for material (formerly agricultural) gain (harvest festivals, “Wicker Man” rites, sorcery, etc.). All of the above elements of humanity co-exist in one form or another in the world today.

Article Three

a) The initiates of the Horus path are and will be few; “the Law is for all” but the Work of initiation is not. Also the main Holy Book of Thelema, The Book of the Law, tells its adherents to “convert not” - an almost unique adjuration for a Holy Book; and we, as adherents of Thelema, also “neither know nor care” what the Will of another is; it is their business and to be left for each to resolve for themselves. Therefore Thelemic initiatory Orders of any kind will never be “mass-movements”, no more than any esoteric group in history - they are for serious students; though there may be Churches or other groups for those not ready for initiation, or those who wish to follow the equally demanding path of Devotion and learning. Albion O.T.O. is available to the former; its Church, Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (U.K.), the E.G.C., or Gnostic Catholic Church is available to the latter.

b) Those who follow the path of Osiris are still a large presence in the world; and so the reactionary forces of these to the Aeon of Horus can be seen in the world today - wars for purported religious ends to control and restrict men’s mental and spiritual freedom; or wars for natural resources to control and restrict men’s physical freedom. This will only cease when, as said above, such forces are reconciled and assimilated to the present Aeon. Until the idea of personal freedom for humanity to exercise its divine spiritual sovereignty is seen as an inherent right of the individual such conflict will persist, until these reactionary forces are ultimately reconciled.

c) Those who follow the path of Isis, in its primitive form, will find less and less freedom to do so - the forces of Osiris; Capitalism, “Communism“, and its other manifestations, will expand further and further until all such havens are exhausted and laid low; as can be seen in, for example, a jungle tribe having its environment destroyed around it, or the banning of smaller religious or spiritual groups by reactionary regimes. This relentless expansion will of course result in the exhaustion of the forces of Osiris themselves, and therefore the collapse of these old structures. The result of this collapse will again not be reconciled in a positive way until these forces are assimilated. The modern groups of Paganism, when rooted in the concepts of the Aeon of Horus, may survive and indeed be a focus point for parts of humanity, if the less vital elements of it are dispelled for the more vigorous tenets of Thelema.

Article Four

Albion O.T.O. accepts all spiritual groups as valid who work on the basis of developing man’s freedom in all possible ways - whether or no they consciously accept The Book of the Law or the Aeon of Thelema. With the caveat they must accept man as his own master, subject to no priestly or oppressive authority. To insist on this formal acceptance of Thelema for those outside of Thelemic magical Orders is, apart from its absurdity, the same form of restriction and oppression manifested by the old forces of Osiris. Albion O.T.O. also, by the same principles does not accept Thelemic Orders who preach Thelema, but practise restriction; whether through legal, “spiritual” or any other form of supposed authority misdirected towards their own ends. Such Orders or groups, whilst natural schisms of the 93 Current, are essentially divisive and, in the short term, harmful to the development of Thelema and the freedom of Thelemites themselves. These Orders essentially still operate under Osirian ideas, and are therefore retrospective in their outlook. Part of the present Work is to ensure such do not misrepresent Thelema, or discourage its aspirants in their Way. These Orders will therefore go the same way of the Osirian religions i.e. they will be transcended and become defunct to man‘s needs.

Article Five

Albion O.T.O. sees the idea of an external or worldly Head of a Magickal Order as an Osirian idea i.e. defunct and now unworkable. The “children of the Aeon of Horus” are almost incapable of seeing such an idea as either necessary or useful, and rightly so. The idea of an “ultimate Authority” is an idea that has had its time - we are not even to look to the “Spiritual Masters” - we are to fit ourselves to become masters of ourselves, and rely on no-one except ourselves. We have “looked behind the curtain” and seen the Wizard as one of our own - and so an end to pretence. “Every man and every woman is a star.“ Therefore Albion O.T.O. is administered by a Triumvirate. Whilst the most senior member officiates as such within the Triumvirate, and is respected as such, he or she has equal voting rights on all matters as the other two members of the Triumvirate. All other administrative structures within the Order are built upon the same, or similar principles.

Article Six

Albion O.T.O. invites all such initiates and aspirants to join its ranks in order to further Thelema to secure the same freedoms for all. It also invites those who wish to follow the path of Devotion to join the Gnostic Catholic Church, Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C.) whom we represent in the U.K. In either each Member will find souls of a like disposition who may work together, in an encouraging and mutually helpful environment, to achieve for themselves the Great Work, the Summum Bonnum, True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness. And thereby lay down the foundations of the Aeon of Thelema for those who are to follow.

Love is the law, love under will.
