Collegia Adytum Azothos Vodou Cabbalistique
The Vodou course is a joint effort from adepts
of African, Cuban and Haitian streams of knowledge and this will
be reflected in the lessons. The basic orientation of these lessons
is given from a hounfor deeply rooted in Jacmel and the teachings
of Milo Rigaud. This hounfor also counts initiates of African Vodou
as well as initiates of French Haitian Masonry and the Franco Haitian
OTO. Accordingly the lessons will cover a wide and complex field
of knowledge.
The first five lessons will be concerned with the
more traditional avenues of Vodou, the successive five lessons with
practices interrelated to Vodou and the third section is following
the format of templar training and initiation and is accordingly
more related to Haitian Masonry.
This is the basic outline of the course, but we
reserve the freedom to change as Loa dictates. But any alterations
of structure and contents will be notified in case alterations and
changes will be made. We also wish to point out that this course
is not a substitute for initiation, but initiation into traditional
Vodou can be conferred upon suitable candidates.
The course is set forth as degrees, these degrees
are signified by a manual of study and practice and the submitting
of a thesis according to the nature of each degree. The first course
is estimated to be taken over the span of a minimum nine months
and constitute the fundamentals for Vodou. It is a demanding work
and it is important to be prepared to take the needed time to walk
through the lessons with care and patience. Together with the submitted
thesis of the first course there should also be submitted the magical
diary, where especially dreams are considered important in order
to provide a more individual guidance in the remainder of the first
batch of lessons. The degrees them selves are based upon the Tetraktys
key and through this we are attempting to build a natural resonance
within the practitioner related to the Pyramidion of numbers and
their powers and cosmic significance. |
